New Coues Book

Recommended Posts

I just got my copy of How to hunt Coues Deer and it is fantastic, better than I expected. The authors Duwane Adams and Tony Mandile did a fantastic job. The book is definitely a keeper...........it outlines units, tactics and has tons of pictures. I saw a couple coueswhitetail members in there and that was pretty cool. Antlerboy and Sniper provided Tony with good stuff and Amanda did as well. Go to the bookstore here and get your copy before they are all gone. I read it cover to back page this morning and it is beyond great..............Allen..........

Yep, this is THE book. Got my copy and I haven't read it much because I can't quit looking at all the pictures! It's got the high profile guys that you see in magazines and the regular folks that you'll never see anywhere. The cover is a perfect start for the book with Segio Orozco's world record archery buck. By the way, thanks Sergio for having the presence of mind to photo yourself with that buck - this does the sport righteously! There is a ton of whitetail wisdom in these pages: areas, rifles, equipment, taxidermy, scoring, field judging, stories, and a zillion pictures. I'm glad someone wrote a book like this and I'm glad it was Duwane and Tony. I am gonna buy the hard cover when it comes out.

I do have one problem with this book. I am afraid that some of those goof ball hunters that are married to their quads will now get educated, get in shape and crowd me on a mountain top where I am King of all I survey!

Thanks Duwane and Tony and everyone who contributed. This book is a treasure!

I got my book a couple of days ago and read it the same day. It's great that someone finally made a book about Coues. It's cool to see pictures of people from this forum and others I know. Great book. Thanks Duane, Tony, and Amanda!

Thank you Amanda for the book as a prize in the scoring contest. It was in the mailbox as I left to go to the Kaibab, so I haven't chewed and digested it yet-just quickly nibbled at the pages.

What a book!! Got back from Alaska the other day and found my copy on top of the pile of magizines. My wife had ordered it for my birthday. Great gift!! Didn't draw any tags from either state but this book almost makes up for it. Once again Amanda, great website!! One of the first things I did after being on the boat all summer was check the forum. Good luck to all who drew, I going to start getting ready for bowhunting in December!!

The only thing that is wrong is that there are pictures of the same buck with two different hunters. And they say it was killed in diffent hunts. I looked closely at the buck it is the same one. I'm sure it was a mistake. I just don't want to see guides using the same buck to help there service out. The authors did an outstanding job on this book and would hate to see them caught up in a scam.

Mr. "Guest, "

There was no "scam."

It was MY mistake that was simply caused by inserting a phoo entitled FMORALESBW2.TIFF for FMORALESBW1.TIF. Unfortunately it went unnoticed during the editing process.

Griz,

Spoke to the printer yesterday. Hard cover version is at the binders as we speak. There was a delay getting the chipboard material needed for the covers from the supplier. It is due to arrive today, however. So it won't be done until Oct. 15th. -TONY
