bgirdler Report post Posted December 12, 2008 I foud this scouting service from our great forum and was wodnering if any of you had used their $30 map service. I don't have the time I would like to get out and scout much and want to try to maximize m tiem in January. I thought this may be a good option, but want some opinions before i go for it. Here is their site, http://www.desertbull.com/Unitinfopak.htm I already know what unit I would get the map for but don't have experience in it, or any unit actually. Thanks guys! Also, anyone ever hunt the Tucson Mountains? Is it worth spending time there instead of the Catalinas/Coronado National Forest? Again, just trying to make the best use of my weekends in January. Thanks again!

Thanks again! yes i used them three times and the areas he suggest were very good, i harvset a buck and a turkey from the areas in the map, he gives you a general area but you have to go scout. Thanks! Thats great info! I plan to scout while there so to speak. I may be able to scout the 27th. and then its season open in January. Not sure whether I should go with Whitetail or Mulie map. I'd be happy with either as this will be my first deer ever, if i am fortunate enough to harvest one that is!

tommat Report post Posted December 13, 2008 About 10 years ago I chased some big mulies in the Tucson Mtns.....But it has been heavily developed. There are still some deer in there and it would take some scouting....there are a few isolated honey holes that can be found but it would take some leg work to get away from the mountain biker / hikers / and horse riders....If you time is limited the catalinas are a much better bet.
