WHT_MTNMAN Report post Posted December 9, 2008 Jay and Cade just set up the website, thegunclaw.com. Probably best to order from the website unless you contact them directly.

CouesWhitetail Report post Posted December 9, 2008 I have one to test out. Haven't shot with it yet. Once I do, I will decide whether to carry it in the store or not. Seems to be a good product but pretty heavy and pricey. I plan to shoot with it this week and will let you know what I think of it. Amanda
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted December 9, 2008 Wow are they proud of that! Seems to me like it would make long range shooting almost too easy!
Red Rabbit Report post Posted December 9, 2008 It has been mentioned that it would be a great tool to have with youth hunters (even old geezers) who have difficulty in finding the game in their scope. You could line it up for them and have the rifle locked in with the Claw in the right direction for them to get behind the scope and see.
DesertBull Report post Posted December 9, 2008 I like to leave the binocs locked on the exact spot the animal is standing when I shoot, especially when I am alone. Can't really do that with this, unless you carry an extra T-pod.
azpackhorse Report post Posted December 9, 2008 I've been thinking about building something similar to that for a while, I wanted it for calling yotes but I guess it would work well for those 800 yard shots too
soazarcher Report post Posted December 9, 2008 These things are awesome! I have shot hundreds of rounds out of mine. It is poison for long range shooting. My wife also shot her first coues deer with it last year. 240 yards straight up hill . she tracked the deer in the scope (with a steady rest) for over 100 yards until he stopped on top of the next ridge.....Bang....done deal. She doesn't want to shoot without one. Eliminates alot of recoil from the big guns, also. If you want to be rock solid on a small target at long range...... get The Claw. Switches out with the 15's in a second and it rides in the hip pouch on my eberlestock when it's not on the gun. Matt
azyota Report post Posted December 9, 2008 It's not cheap, but with the amount of hunters out there with $2000 bucks in Swaros around their neck, I don't think it's too far out there. Pretty cool idea...
jbone Report post Posted December 9, 2008 $180, WOW, WOW!!!! Very proud of it. Looks like it would work great, but for a lot less money you can make those yourself. Buy a $20 gun rest remove the clamp and attach a plate. You also loose the ability to use your tripod, not a big deal if you have another person with you that has one. If you're by yourself it's nice to leave your optics locked in on what you're shooting at. I see the benefit for the hunters that have a tuff time locating animals in the scope, you could do it for them, but if you have the time to set that thing up you have the time to get rock steady on a rest on a pack or rocks. Gr8 White Jr Report post Posted December 10, 2008 Proud indeed!!! $180 is VERY steep for such an item! I would probably consider it at half that price but untill then, not a chance! -Tracy
