lionhunter Report post Posted December 9, 2008 I spent 3 days in 36-c over Thanksgiving. At that time the young deer were sparing and chasing a bit. Does anyone have any information on the rutting activity of late? I have the C tag in Dec. Any information would be helpful. Thanks, DW

firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted December 9, 2008 The buck I killed, I saw him rubbing his horns on a tree or two, getting ready to strengthen his neck muscles. Also saw his buddy (small fork) sparing with a spike.

BigBfever Report post Posted December 9, 2008 yeah get ready for some action the dec. and january hunt are awesome times to be out chasing these coues family had the late nov. and there was already a lot of sign of pre rut activity. try not to get into to big of a hurry on your hunts the big bucks mate first and then the little ones chase the doe around a lot more in jan. late decemeber you should see a lot of stout buck runnin around. good luck on your hunts.
