SilentButDeadly Report post Posted December 6, 2008 I've got a 3.1 mega pixel Stealth Cam; bought it off Ebay from a licensed vendor; so its probably a refurb. Its taken about 3000 photos, mostly daytime shots. The flash has stopped functioning, I took it apart and looked at all the wires, still intact, managed to touch the capacitor with my finger -- that was fun. Anywho, what could be screwing up? The tube looks okay, the sensor maybe?? I know a few of you are builders, I can see how you can get into it, easy enough parts. Any help and I'd be grateful. ultrahunter Report post Posted December 7, 2008 Can't help you with fixin it, but I have the same cam and I have two problems with it. Occasionally when I turn it on, it flashes, and the plastic latches are about to bust. You have the same problem? Also, how slow is you trigger speed?I love the small screen for field checking but have to put it on water exclusively to get the animals. That being said it's still a good cam. Bird Dog Report post Posted January 14, 2009 Yes, I have! A friend and coworker of mine is an electrical engineer and we took it a part and resoddered it back on. It wasn't bad to fix just be careful not to complete the circuit on that flash because it is a compassitor and you will get shocked.
