Ohthatguy Report post Posted April 14, 2023 It's that time of year for boating so you are buying new boat/RV/Car batteries any time soon..... Last week, I purchased a couple of batteries from BPS and when I took the 2 cores back I got an interesting story. She said the extra 6% tax, which I never even noticed until she was explaining all of this, was an Arizona Battery tax and they forgot to charge me a "core" charge so I wouldn't get anything back. So over 14% tax on the batteries. BPS didn't have the 3rd battery that I needed so I bought it from Autozone and was only charged the normal taxes. I called a few other stores and inquired about this tax and nobody else has heard of this. So it could be worth a little research before buying batteries from BPS.. May be common knowledge but it was news to me.
PRDATR Report post Posted April 14, 2023 Never heard of that but I haven't bough a battery lately and never from BPS so I would dispute that. Go to a Batteries Plus and show it to them. If anyone would know of this tax they most certainly would.

Even sams/costco no 2 year warranty anymore I'm no battery expert so take that for what it's worth, but THIS does have a four year full replacement warranty. These are great dual purpose batteries (NorthStar rebranded), but they are expensive. I bought one for my 4Runner in 2019, when it had a five year full replacement warranty, and it has served me well. These are on sale now which means you can buy one for about what I paid in 2019. Eddie Great batteries. I replaced two 6 1/2 year old Platinum Die Hard's with these in January of 2020. One was loosing a charge so I replaced both in my truck for good measure. At the time I got a 10% off plus there was a rebate of about $35 per battery. When I was replacing them I realized the cases were exactly the same as the Die Hard's. Group 65 and the have 930CCA.
