XoftCoffee Report post Posted April 14, 2023 Is there a thread around here about cleaning an inline muzzleloader? If not perhaps someone could suggest a youtube video that you think is good? or any advice?

creed_az_88 Report post Posted April 14, 2023 If you're using sabots where there isn't copper fouling involved, then it's tough to beat non chlorinated break parts cleaner.
Crazymonkey Report post Posted April 14, 2023 Powder will make a difference in what you can clean with. Pyrodex and most pellets are corrosive and need blackpowder only cleaning products. If your running blackhorn you can use your normal gun cleaning stuff as it's not corrosive and the powder will not get fouled with the little bit of oil on a patch you'd run at the end . Rudebob Report post Posted April 19, 2023 I have nothing to say on the subject, just glad to see a new post in this forum after several months. Of course ranting about the cost of Blackhorn 209 is always good for a coversation starter.
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted April 19, 2023 If the gun in question has not been cleaned thus far and is not shooting blackhorn….. op needs a new gun.

Crazymonkey Report post Posted April 25, 2023 Cva has a foam cleaner . I usually put a old ear plug in one end of the barrel and let it work for 20 to 30 minutes . Then you can run brush and patches. There are alot of black powder only cleaners . The tc brand bore lube is good . It looks like toothpaste and smells good. Remember no standard gun cleaners as most will foul the barrel and cause miss fires.
