wildwoody Report post Posted March 7 True that, don't think I've ever been camping just to camp, had same goals.

My buddies who have hiked the whole thing have reminded me several times that we basically started with the flattest/easiest sections (Blue Ridge to GC...). Oh well, they all will be hiked eventually if we're to finish our goal so might as well get our sea-legs on the easy stuff first.

At my age, just time outside enjoying the scenery and comradery is enough of a goal for me.... No less hunting/fishing, just additional time outside.

I enjoy my time outside as well, sitting on my butt or in a boat seat... and walking, aka hiking, when necessary. But , feel free to" take a hike", and I mean that in a friendly way!
