I put some pictures in a new post of our "harvest". I hope this eases your pain or makes it worse. I guess you'll just have to go give em heck on the bow hunt.

The picture just before this post, is that pole stuck through that deers chest. What a brilliant idea.

I shot a buck on opening morning, as soon as I can resize some pictures I'll post. Might have to wait to use the work computer on Monday.

Thanks, eyeguards are 5".

The pole does go through the chest and then we tied the chest back together to keep him high and from swaying.

It was a tough pack out, all down hill but very steep.

I shot the buck from 275 yds. My buddy stayed put were I shot from and I went over to inspect. He left after I located the buck, by the time he arrived the buck was completely gutted. That's how steep it was.

This new 4 day hunt was great. It really made the forest seem alot less crowded, 600 hunters instead of 1000. We saw lots of deer and bucks everyday. Another wet year or two and I'll be very excited about what's down there.
