Recommended Posts

Word on the street is that there was a 139" buck taken by bow last Thursday in the Catalinas. Anyone with some info you better cough it up.

Hey KWP,

I live in Tucson which Taxidermist did you see the pics at ? I know Lipperts has a lot of nice deer come in but have not heard anything on this. Will do some investigating on this and see what I come up with? Would love to see some pics if possible.

I heard the buck is a typical 139"....SONOFA!!!!!! The guy that told me said he took his recent carp archery kill into his butcher and he had a picture of it in there. Sounds like the same butcher to me.

Arizonabowhunter,

I didn't see the photos, one of my buddies (littlebear) did and I am pretty sure it is the same guy that Josh is talking about because he just got a muley with his bow. I'll tell him to post what he knows the next time I talk to him.

Andy sent me a text...he said he took a picture of the picture and he says it ain't monsterous as we would normall expect. He's gonna hit me up with the pictures and put em up on this site in a little bit. He came across the pic when he was dropping his deer off at the butcher. Later

Hey Guys--

Sorry to stir you all up, but I went back by and checked that pic out of that buck, and its no where near 139" I'd be suprised if it goes 105?.

I will admit, I kinda jumped the gun on it too, when the butcher told me how big it was then showed me the pic, which I just glanced at (thats why I had to go back again, to be sure) I figured it had to be that big, heck this guy looks at hundreds of these deer each year?

Oh well, but outa respect to the hunter I am not gonna post his pic. I dont know him so if he would like to or if one of you are his friend, post away. LB

Hey LB,

Too bad it did not work out , I too like to see big coues................................................or maybe the hunter wants to keep it on the DL. If so then I can respect that.

I saw the pic too...it's a dandy buck but no way it'll go over 110 that's for sure. But it should rank pretty high in pope and young if the guy takes it in

I'm convinced after what I ahve seemn ahnging on some wallsin Tucson that several of the top 10 alltime would not be on the list of thes guys cared about scores and record books. My uncle has two I cathink of. I will take some pictures when Isee him later this month. I'm sure its well over 130. A lot of these big Coues were taken in the late 1950's. NEx ttime you visit an old timer ask him if he ahs any of his youmight be suprised.
