Who feeds raw?

Recommended Posts

Lately I've been big into researching and creating raw meals for my Airedale.

Who else feeds raw?

Where do you get the uncommon stuff? Chicken feet, duck parts, kidneys, other organ meats etc?

Saw a medley of the above just the other day.

We feed a mix of big game trimmings, garden vegetables and dog food.  I stay away from organ meat.  I don’t understand why you’d want to eat the waste processing centers of a body, or feed it to your dogs.  I stay away from anything that I didn’t butcher.  I guess I don’t trust things that are commercially butchered to use for raw consumption.

our dog loves chicken livers

Our bulldog lived 12 years getting at least two per day.  Normal expected life span is 7-8

One of the the first thing a predator goes for in the wild is the organ meats and brains

Right?  Liver is one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet.

Simple. Cheap hamburger with regular dog food. My dog hunts hard. His sister is a hound that hunts also. Nothing special added. Brown the hamburger in a pan and add it to the dog food.

Liver is nasty. It tastes like a mouthful of old pennies soaked in day old blood
almost as nasty as dove.
