standman Report post Posted January 15, 2005 The area I've been hunting, the rut has really slowed down. I was wondering do does come in heat a second time if they weren't bred during the first rut peak? Or are they through the first time? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. CouesWhitetail Report post Posted January 15, 2005 Yes, the does will cycle again. Cycles are generally 26 days long. You can read more about it in the Coues Deer Life Stages section on this website. Amanda

bowsniper Report post Posted January 15, 2005 I just spent a couple of days in a tree stand watching some does, 26 days from when I know that they were hot. No bucks anywhere, so I guess they all got "serviced" the first time around, despite me arrowing their buck. Hopefully it was done by my big buck (he went out happy!)
