hunting the rut? is this still hunting?

So everyone talks about how rough and tough foxes are,

Well this cat was in my brothers backyard for a while and this fox appears and decides to put a stalk on the cat and once the cat figured what was goin on he postured up and the fox backed out

 

 

man I hate livin in the city although he is huntin deer in 31 degrees.

Neat pics, I think that wild predators know when to say when. They can't risk getting beat up while trying to get some groceries, and when dinner puts up a defense, shopping isn't what it is supposed to be. Food is supposed to run. Domestic canines on the other hand don't seem to have this sense of not getting hurt and when the ditch lion spins around to put up a front it usually gets plowed by about something it isn't quite ready for. Man's imposed doom.....

 

But for what it's worth, I think grays are a bit more aggressive than reds.
