bigj23 Report post Posted January 28, 2023 This is a brand new set of scissor jacks from my fifth wheel. I had an auto level out on, so these were never used. Just need to get them out of the garage. Located in Litchfield Park. Send me a message or text me if you are interested. $50 PM or text (623) 696-5806
Davising21 Report post Posted March 27 has anyone tried switching out their scissor jacks for something more heavy-duty? I’ve been looking into different stabilizer options and wondering if it's worth upgrading. The movement in my trailer drives me crazy, especially when people walk around inside. If anyone has experience with an alternative, I’d love to hear what worked best.
matt Report post Posted March 27 The little scissor jacks that go between the wheels can help as well. When I put down my scissor jacks in the rear and hydraulics in the front. Mine doesn’t move an inch.
Viper Report post Posted March 27 I use the expandable wheel chocks, like Matt described, and the diy 2x4 stabilizers: Makes my 5th-wheel rock solid.
Davising21 Report post Posted March 28 If you're looking for a more durable and stable option, check out astrolift.co.nz. Some of their lifting equipment is built for industrial use, so you know it’s strong enough to handle heavier setups. A lot of RV scissor jacks can get flimsy over time, especially with frequent use, so upgrading to something more solid might save you from headaches down the road.
