DesertBull Report post Posted November 16, 2008 I guess so, but I was just at Bass Pro and it was PACKED and the checkout lines were full. The gun counter was 3 people deep looking at rifles and handguns. Gun counter guy said it's been that way since the election. People are buying guns as fast as they can stock them. Handgun ammo aisle is bare.
Jimmer Negamanee Report post Posted November 16, 2008 I don't know how much firearm/ammo sales contribute to GDP but it sounds like a "stimulus package" over there at BPS. I heard J & G has also been packed. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath for that Springfield XD9 I've been eyeing to go on sale. Dang.

GameHauler Report post Posted November 16, 2008 My funds are pretty tight right now and don't spend a dime on anything I don't have to. In the last 2 weeks I have spent about $500.00 on loading supplies. If I had an extra $3000.00 there would be a big brown truck pulling up with 2 men and dollies wheeling supplies into my garage. Not sure why this post was listed in the Political Discussions section
az4life Report post Posted November 16, 2008 I was in the denver Crossroads gun show yesterday and it was packed. The talk was from almost everyone how things are changing. (thats what BO promised) Anyway I notices private sales were pretty high dollar and sellers said it would only get worse after BO is officially in office so why not take avantage now.... Ammunition was selling like hotcakes at a firemans breakfast. Prices were not even that good but buy it while you can is the sentiment. Right or wrong, the supplies are drying up and prices are going up because of it. Change you can count on...

ghost hunter Report post Posted November 19, 2008 Today's Tucson Star had an editorial by the paper in which they said they couldn't understand why people were so upset about Obama and were out buying every gun they could find. A paragraph or so later, they were explaining that Obama and Biden only wanted to expand background checks, police access to them, require child safety locks, and bring back/expand the assault weapons ban which only included those weapons which have tubular or removable magazines, hold more than a couple of rounds, etc, etc. Duho!!! Amazingly, they answered their own question but were unable to connect the dots. Left me shaking my head.
