Rattlesnake

This guy was sunning Monday morning after the storm in Central AZ. My next step was on him and he never twitched. What species?

looks like either a Prairie Rattlesnake or a Mohave Rattlesnake. :blink:

Yep yuck. His head would look a bit different had i come across him though. He would have been an India snake with a red dot on the fore head. :lol:

After I read Amanda's thread and saw the link I guess I shoud be happy I might not see one on the next coues hunt in 36b or are they there too. last November I hunted Kodiak Island and didn't even think about sitting or stepping on a Kodiak Brown. I'm thinking these snakes might be a problem. Don't have to worry about them too much up here in the Jemez Mts.
