Crazymonkey Report post Posted December 5, 2022 Looking into it more and dies are available and it looks like 6.5 Creedmoor brass is the way to go .Neck them down and you'll have plenty of brass and the ability to make all the ammo you could need.
STOMP442 Report post Posted December 5, 2022 Easily formed from multiple cases but Hornady sells .250 Savage brass now. I formed all mine from Lake City Match .308 brass and it has held up and works really well.
L Cazador Report post Posted December 5, 2022 Original ammo is going for $60-70 per box of 20 and it's pretty old ammo. Buy 22/250 Lapua brass and neck it up to 25 cal. I suggest Lapua because it's annealed but you could use any brand. Lube the inside of the neck when working up to 25 caliber. This will prevent collapsed shoulders or neck splitting. If possible neck up to 243 first then 257.
lancetkenyon Report post Posted December 5, 2022 You can always get .22-250 brass and neck it back up to .257.
