anthonyrmatthews Report post Posted November 7, 2008 Well, I finally got my first bear. During my hunt I glassed 6 different bears-one was a sow with two cubs. I finally sealed the deal with this beautiful cinnamon bear. I shot the bear at 4:00, but didn't get the hide and meat packed out of that canyon until 2:30 the next morning. Like my buddy said "It was a bear of a job." I love that saying now, and know its true meaning. My buddy figured the bear at about 250 pounds. It was my first bear and I will have memories to last a lifetime. Hope the pictures turn out.

anthonyrmatthews Report post Posted November 7, 2008 Amanda-Yes, that is a shed that I picked up on my way down to the bear. It was a smaller 6-pt. Good eye! Couse n Sheep- this bear was a sow. I thought it was a boar when I first spotted it. Not quite sure how to tell before the shot. I just watched it for a while before I shot to make sure there were no cubs. Thank you guys for the great comments!
