30a info

I have been invited to hunt on a ranch in 30a. So I'm looking for advice/info.

I have known the rancher for 30 years. I have done some work for him in the past. We just recently talked about hunting. Turns out he never told me about all of the property he has,. He controls a lot of land out there. Heading out there soon.

Consider yourself very lucky as it is a tough unit due to so much of it being private.

I would say go for it if you have access to a very large ranch in that unit

I am more of a meat hunter than a trophy hunter. I prefer mule deer.

if you’re hunting a large private ranch it’s probably a dead end to ask the public’s help for said ranch without naming the ranch.

I’m sure 30A can be tough especially with all the private land.  But there are good deer in there.
