Flash Report post Posted November 4, 2008 Anyone know of a good map of 36C out there? All I am seeing on the web are 1:100000 maps which don't usually show many roads, only the major ones.
Red Rabbit Report post Posted November 4, 2008 I have been printing off the areas I am interested in using the National Geographic Topo program. Prior to that I bought all the 7.5 minute maps to cover the unit. Since there is some BLM land, you might check with that office.

All I am seeing on the web are 1:100000 maps which don't usually show many roads, only the major ones. 36C has some excellents roads!!! The only problem is most of them are closed to motorized vehicles. Most of the roads into the mountains have been closed. The back country is pretty much foot access only. My advice is to drive around the area you want to hunt looking for access. Good Luck!

If you are in the Tucson area, the BLM office can make custom maps of the area at any scale you want for a fee of about $15.00. the front desk staff are new, but if you call they can hook you up with staff that can get it done. Other BLM offices in the state can probably do the same thing as they all have the same GIS system.
