Red Rabbit Report post Posted August 21, 2022 I had never hunted deer in Arizona before. I asked my friend how big Coues deer were. He said if you can see antlers, it's a good one. This was about 1985 near Geronimo's Surrender Site. 17

GreyGhost85 Report post Posted August 21, 2022 Here’s my first coues. Shot in 2003 in unit 32. I wish we would have known how to hunt coues like we do now. We used to just walk around until we jumped one up. I remember we thought that the bigger one my brother killed was huge!

I look back at myself and laugh cuz when I started you could still kill a doe and I couldn't even get that done (archery). When I killed my first big buck (before glassing) I'd never even laid eyes on one that big and I just couldn't believe it happened. I knew they existed, never expected to see or kill a really good one.

I'm also amazed but not surprised that your camera equipment and/or photography at the time was decades ahead of every one else.
