There are still leftover deer tags

There are still 49 leftover whitetail tags and 100's of youth pig tags.

Hey now that im done helpin that 30b tag next week looks like fun.....anyone have any info they wanna share i just might get out there if got an idea where to start....never been down there.

Its sad that theres so many Juniors out there that are missing their chance becouse no one will take them out.

I did not think I would be able to go on my unit 27 hunt and applied for a late November 30B leftover in the hopes I could go. Game and Fish sent my money back and said only one permit a year is allowed. I was told you could have two permits but were only allowed to kill one deer?

 

Good thing they sent my money back, as I tagged out in unit 27 and am done for the year.

According to G&F, no you can't. They sent my check back and said since I already had a tag I couldn't have another. I was told by someone that you could have 2 tags but only shoot one deer a year. But that is wrong.

You can only have 1 tag from the draw, and 1 tag OTC. This is the same for elk now, turkey, and bear. So yes you can have two tags but only shoot one animal, but you cannot have two of the same type of tags.

That explains it better. I understand the one deer per year, but was not sure on the types of tags alloted. Thanks!
