You know I've heard of these herds of bears before. Usually from someone with limited time in Az. backcountry. Invariably they turned out to be a herd of javelina at a distance rooting around. I'm not sure how folks can confuse javelina with bear but it happens.

You know couesdiehard that makes perfect sense to me! I have seen a few herd of javilina in the same set of mountains in which the herd of bears appeared. I might have to let him go find his herd again and let him use my video camera to capture them.
