Tripod & Head for BTX

What are you guys using for a tripod/head when using the BTX and what do you think would be perfect setup?

Slik 634 w/ sirui va-5 has treated me well. Lots of great options out there for legs but I love the sirui head.

Not sure exactly what tripod I have, it’s a aluminum Manfrotto that I’ve had for years but that Sirui VA-5 is the best I’ve ever personally used! And at a good price.

I was leaning to that head and you help made the decision easy. Ordered the head today. Just need to figure out the legs.

Manfrotto 290 Xtra Is a good one if look into.   I believe you can go aluminum or carbon.

I have a sirui va-5

Seems a little light for big spotting scope. 

a 65-80mm scope would probably be ok. 

They have a larger model sirui va-10 for the biggers tuff.

I use a Sirui VA-5 with a BTX 95 no problem.
