ichiban43 Report post Posted October 29, 2008 Does anybody know if you are required to have a State Trust Land use permit to camp on STL during a hunt? your hunting licenes is your permit A word of caution--on another forum, the concensus was that you must be hunting--just having the license is only part of it. They apparently can cite you if you aren't hunting. So--always carry a gun and you can say you are hunting 'yotes or something. That is what I got out of the posts--you might best check. Red Rabbit Report post Posted October 29, 2008 http://www.land.state.az.us/programs/natur...rmitFaqs.htm#Q3 Looks like the hunting license only allows you to actively hunt and shoot legal animals. You need a rec permit to scout, camp, hike etc.
audsley Report post Posted October 30, 2008 If you have a hunting license and are hunting, not just camping along with other people who have a tag for that time and place, I believe you can also camp without any special permit. But if you're just tagging along on someone else's hunt, that might be another story. This isn't official. Just my belief about how it woris.
