A word of caution--on another forum, the concensus was that you must be hunting--just having the license is only part of it. They apparently can cite you if you aren't hunting. So--always carry a gun and you can say you are hunting 'yotes or something. That is what I got out of the posts--you might best check.

Looks like the hunting license only allows you to actively hunt and shoot legal animals.

You need a rec permit to scout, camp, hike etc.

If you have a hunting license and are hunting, not just camping along with other people who have a tag for that time and place, I believe you can also camp without any special permit. But if you're just tagging along on someone else's hunt, that might be another story.

 

This isn't official. Just my belief about how it woris.

I've always played by the rules if a guy has a valid huntin license he dont need a camp or fire permit.
