cohntr6 Report post Posted July 30, 2022 Need a little help with some specifications on the Mark 3 I recently bought. The specs say I have 15 Mils of elevation adjustment and that the dial only travels 5.6 Mils. I need help understanding this. My brain is telling me that I should have 15 MILS to dial but that is not what the turret will do, it is certainly 5.6 MILS with a hard stop. Thanks for the help. cohntr6 Report post Posted July 30, 2022 I think I figured it out.... The 15MILS of "Elevation Adjustment Range" comes from 5.6 MILS of dial adjustment plus 10 MILS using the reticle (I know 15.6 actually). Correct?
lancetkenyon Report post Posted July 30, 2022 More than likely: You have a total of 15MIL of elevation adjustment total. Centered in the adjustment range, that means 7.5MIL up and 7.5MIL down. Depending on your rifle, mounts, and zero yardage, this will vary. If you used 1.9MIL to zero, that would only leave you...5.6MIL of available adjustment left to dial. Not knowing your set up, you could possibly put a 20MOA/5.8MIL rail or rings, and gain some of your available elevation adjustment back, doubling what adjustment you have now.
