bowhunter-tw Report post Posted July 26, 2022 Hi all, im building an upper for my ar15. Was gonna go 6mm arc but I came across a 6mm AR DA Van Horne barrel and dies for sale. Its a wildcat though and would be my first wildcat cartridge. Worth it or just stick with the new 6mm ARC? Its gonna be for predators.
Crazymonkey Report post Posted July 27, 2022 On paper the 6mm ar seems to get you more .More case capacity and more speed and energy. They also make a Ackley version that takes the neck to 40 degrees and increases case capacity just a touch more .The 6mm ar seems easy enough to make brass its just a neck down . Davidinthesun Report post Posted August 18, 2022 ARC for me I know it's hard to find factory ammo now but it shoots well through both of mine. And it's factory backed with lots of load data. Just my opinion
