I live right by Amici, its pretty good but just got a lot of hype because the owner has a tick tock. It used to be a go to because it is so close to me but not worth it anymore.

That’s sad to hear , I work close and  want to try it

My old hood. Did they take the old Buono's spot?

Yeah pretty sure the daughter took over Buono's and changed the name to Amici.

Its definitely good and probably worth trying but I aint going to wait in a line for it or anything, especially since I used to be able to call at almost anytime and get take out in 20 minutes. I don't even think they do takeout now.

Typical tictok hype... just drove by there today and people were actually standing outside waiting in line

Bunch of people that want to post to their social media that they were there.

So I tried a new place today and was very pleasantly surprised.  Arizona Pizza company in Vail is legit.  So my top three in Tucson are this one, Brooklyn Pizza on fourth Ave and Rosatis

I’m not huge on their pizza but they make a great calzone and wings.

Their pizza used to be really good when it was az pizza co. Not sure the exact story so don’t quote me but it’s a friend of the other az pizza co/upper crust owner. They let him keep the name. Now it’s called mayday pizza and it just seems different. Again, info was just what the dude that worked there told me years ago. G&F in benson reminds me of a place called Cole’s pizza that was in Clifton (grew up eating that) and I’m a huge fan. Chariots on alvernon is really good thin crust pizza if you like greasy ny thin crust (I do) Mamas pizza is above average. Lol the food truck off the mescal exit makes a great pizza! He’s not there every day but I’ll stop by about once a month when I catch him and grab one. And of course Argenziano’s in corona de Tucson makes great food in general! Buffhunter is/was a member here. His family owns the place.

I think I tried mamas years ago, close to tanque Verde if I remember correctly. Me thinks they have a neon sign that looks like an old school record?  You also mentioned upper crust which I tried and did not like so much so I'm not sure if the 2 are still related.  Try AZ pizza co again and report back please.
