07Guardian Report post Posted July 9, 2022 Bought a maglula for the pmr30 several months ago and just tried it today. Loaded the mag up with 30 rounds effortlessly. So I'm thinking, "this is the bomb! Why didn't I buy one a long time ago?" Well.....on shot #2 the bomb exploded in my face! Literally saw some flame come out the chamber and took a hit on my right arm and face! I inspected the magazine and found that the top 15 rounds had dents in the case from the maglula. The case ruptured at the dent. Pic shows the loader, the next round in the mag, and the result. Thank God for eye protection! So, if you've been thinking about one, forget it. Sore thumbs beats a trip to the ER!

07Guardian Report post Posted July 9, 2022 The PMR-30 is great. Early productions were picky about what ammo they would cycle well. Mine is the newer generation and it has worked perfect with 30 to 50 grain ammo from Hornady, Remington, CCI, and Winchester when using the factory sights. With the extra weight of a Burris Fastfire red dot, it needs 40 or 50 grain ammo. No complaints about the pistol, just the loader.
bigorange Report post Posted July 9, 2022 Yeah to clarify I meant I was looking at the loader…very pleased with the PMR-30 so far. I’ll be checking if any cases are dented though.
