Any Toyota techs on here? 2010 and later 2AZ-FE info...

Decided on Scion xB for company day to day vehicle. I know the early ones got issues but wondering if the 2010 and after are ok? Also I see guys shipping this engine in from Japan, are the ones from Japan ok? Looked on some Toyota forums but not finding the info I'm after.

I just put a jdm in my Corolla, no problems so far…..

But I hear the Scion is an absolutely solid vehicle, but the smallest one is a little too small for my tastes.

Is the warranty any good if you put it in yourself or do you have to go to a licensed mechanic?
