You and your son have a memory that will connect you to for all of your lives. The memories my kids and I have in the outdoors are the ones we relive over and over. No matter what path your son takes in his life, he has the memory of being with Dad and getting his first buck. It will connect you two like very few memories will. Young Report post Posted October 27, 2008 Congrats to you and your son. Thats a fine first buck. I can still remember mine with my dad and 16 years later we still look back on that hunt. I was 12 and I shot a spike. I've shot many deer since then and I can honestly say that buck is my favorite. I'll never forget the smile on face and how proud he was of me. To me, that's what hunting is all about.
