idgaf Report post Posted June 14, 2022 As I sit here waiting for the last few minutes I decided to post about a hunt rather than classifieds. Didn't get drawn again so I picked up an otc tag. March was very cold so I didn't hunt much. May came around and I picked up hunting again. First bull spotted early may. Too far and open to get close. I didn't for a bit after that. Toward the end of the month I have my first miss on this guy. it waited for me to get out of truck walk over to post and miss two shots I see alot of cows the next couple of weeks yesterday rolls around and i go into a spot where i seen cows previously. 20 minutes or so before last light. I Sail 3 rounds over a small branched bulls back. Strike 2 ill give myself one more shot with my handgun and consider a weapon im more comfortable with 6 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

eddielasvegas Report post Posted June 15, 2022 My hand cannon (Model S&W 500 in 500 Mag.) is perfectly suited for a hunt like this. It will be delivered tomorrow and pretty durn excited to shoot it later this month. idgaf Report post Posted June 17, 2022 Tonight was fun. No shots fired. Got within 60 yards of two small bulls. Watched one rolling around to satisfy an itch. Much closer to the cows. Spent at least 30 minutes in that range before one of the wary cows kept barking til they came.
