savagman Report post Posted October 23, 2008 I am new to Coues hunting and have high hopes for my hunt in 34a. From reading other posts I gather that the popular areas will be overrun with hunters. I suspect the areas described by G&F will be packed. I am more than willing to put some miles in and am looking for an area that will give me a good chance for success. Anyone have any experience with the wilderness area? No trucks, quads, etc. sounds real nice but I have not been able to find much info about deer there. So far I have scouted the areas that I now know will be popular. I know that the Madera Canyon Recreation area is off limits but what about the trails leading away from there? Anyone know what the no-hunting zone around Madera cnayon is? Any help is greatly appreciated. Anyone hunting 34a this weekend and would like company or needs a hand let me know.
