SilentButDeadly Report post Posted October 21, 2008 I learned my lesson last year after cutting the head off a dead bull elk I found... 48 hours later I was in the Emergency room on 3 rounds of IV antibiotics...
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Eric attended the same university where I did my graduate work. I didn't really know him well, but I remember last year at a wildlife biologist conference I spoke to one of my professors that knew him well. It's really too bad. Sounds like he was a dedicated biologist. I am always checking out dead stuff...so don't be too surprised if I keel over from some terrible disease after checking out some dead thing! I was at the airport in Boston this morning and saw some guy reading the paper with a headline about the plague and the Grand canyon. But did someone else get infected other than Eric? He was killed last year I thought....is there something new to the story that it has resurfaced? Amanda
