Great find

Recommended Posts

Took 50 years to find one of these, probably never find another here in the desert.

Tell me what it's called. Up for grabs is an imaginary chicken dinner.533054443_603742.thumb.jpeg.dbb748d80540b8bbd56cadce79b80081.jpeg

According to your OP, I believe you could proclaim the victor "Winner Winner (imaginary) Chicken Dinner" Could you not?

Seriously, awesome find! Can't help but think you are the real winner!

Also, were you metal detecting or did you spot it on the ground?

What year would this be form?  What would they have been using the Ox for? Cool find!

It was commercially made, not hand forged. It's even stamped I R for inside right. I doubt they've been made commercially since driving ox fell out of favor over a century ago.

Ox often pulled ore wagons in AZ where trains didn't operate.

Yours looks in amazing condition, a museum piece for sure!

Is that how you found it or has it seen a wire wheel and a rattle can?

Natural patina and I'm guessing unused.
