Changing from DHL to Fed Ex

Changing from DHL to Fed Ex

We have decided to change shipping companies. After years of quality service from DHL they seem to be less than they once were. In the past month or so they have let the majority of their sales force go and have closed a few depots. They have been passing off deliveries to the USPS and other independents. This has caused delays to some of our customers in rural areas, and we cannot accept that. We have been in talks with Fed Ex and within the next few weeks we will be switching our shipping to Fed Ex.

If DHL has caused any delays for you we apologize. We trust this change over to Fed Ex will provide timely deliveries to you.

Thank you for your continued support.

What about UPS?

We have tried to work with UPS a few times in the past couple of years, however, after they meet with us and promise to run the #'s and get back to us they never do.

If we need to chase the local rep to open the account I can't see them attending to the account if we gave it to them. (BTW, we were with UPS for 33 years before switching and it took the local rep one and a half years to contact us to see why we switched)

I live in one of those areas where delivery of anything takes a day or two more with USPS, FedEx or UPS. DHL has never delivered anything to me--they always drop it in the post office in El Paso or Deming and it takes from two to five days beyond that to get here.

I have lived out here for about 17 years and UPS has been very good, coming five days a week to either pick up or deliver. However, in the last year or so their service has slipped badly, mostly with failing to make scheduled pick ups. I think that you will be well-satisfied with FedEx--we have switched all of our outgoing package shipping to them and have been pleased with the service.

I'm sorry to hear that Doug. I know your speaking the truth because thats our number 1 beef as drivers. the company begs us to find new customers while out on route and when we bring them in they drag their feet in contacting the customer and lose an opportunity to gain new business. I wish there was a way to get your trust again and get your business back but i understand that once people have a bad experince they don't wanna repeat past failures.
