Kinda like in the debate he said that "abortion is an important emotional and moral issue, and that, of course we don't want abortions, they should be used only as a last resort", yet he votes to keep the barbaric partial birth abortion alive and vehemently opposes any legislation that would ever be any kind of threat to Roe vs. Wade. Is it just me, or does Obama say one thing in the first part of a response and then the opposite thing in the second part? Is this a mixed message, or an outright lie? I can see it. He is not smoke and mirrors - he's just smoke. Mike It is an outright lie, IMHO. I saw 2 interviews with "O" about the DC gun ban. In one--before the Supremes overturned it, he stated that he believed it was constitutional. In the 2nd--after the ruling--he said he has always believed in the right to own a firearm. If there was a 3rd choice--he'd take it too. There are other issues-including the abortion issue you mentioned where he has taken both sides of the issue.
