How many shots do you plan on taking to make a kill?. IMHO a DBM looks out of place on a hunting rifle with a traditional hunting stock. Especially the one that protrude. So many guys are wannbe 1,700 yard one shot kills with a skeletonized chasis. Bad as those ones who have a sling with 5 rounds on it and a stock sock with five more. rkv09 Report post Posted April 27, 2022 I would go with dpm, specifically Hawkins precision hunter bottom metal. It will sit flush and their new mag allow a 3.770 coal for standard actions. This will allow you to seat the longer vld bullet out of the powder column in the .280 AI, assuming you are throating for the longer bullets and not the standard 3.4 coal. Crazymonkey Report post Posted April 27, 2022 Anyone running a wyatts box? Looks like it might be the way to go with the bdl setup. It would give me more than enough room for the long berger bullets.
