Question about Unit 22

Recommended Posts

Well I have the November Archery Elk Bull Hunt in Unit 22 north. And I was wondring if anyone had any tips for hunting bulls in November. I am hoping for some snow so they can come down off the rim. But anyways I am confused on how to approach the hunt should I be sitting water holes, glassing all the time, spot and stalk in the cinder. I have only hunted elk during the rut. I have been there scouting 4 times. In past I usually put more scouting into it but with gas and switching jobs it has been hard to get out there. I went up there this last monday what a bad day to go. It was very windy. I see alot of sign in areas but have only seen one herd of elk. Any help would be appreciatted! Thanks.

Hello there I had this tag 2 years in a row 3 years ago for archery bul. It will be a tough hunt but I can give you some info on where to look and some hot water holes. I will be up there helping out a friend on your hunt. PM if you want.

I had the Nov cow hunt 2 years ago, and got ran out of 22n by the bull hunters. I found 1 spot in 22n with no other hunters, and found some bulls.

A side note nano, I wouldn't bother scouting till after the 23rd, when the rifle hunts are over. Thier patterns will change between then and now. I saw hunters in 2 of my honey holes this morning.

You have some true Honey Holes if you only saw 2 hunters

and nano you better wait till Nov to scout because on the 24th

there will be over 1200 Deer hunters in 22 <_<
