cjw2222 Report post Posted October 10, 2008 This past summer I was watching jack brittingham's north american hunter 5 on DVD with azcouesandelk and just as the movie ends they show Sam Moore playing "Mountain Range." Fast forward to three weeks ago and i decided to pick up his CD and all i can say is WOW!!! If you have yet to hear his songs you really ought to if your into country at all. he sings of bugling elk, trucks, and anything you can think of relating to our lifestyle. So i have had the CD for about 2 weeks now and everyone around me is goin crazy cause its literally all i can listen to now. His lyrics are true and down to earth much like a modern day Chris Ledoux. If you havent heard his CD and are lookin for some of the best huntin tunes out there i would highly suggest givin him a listen. Anyone else heard or love his songs or am i just crazy? COOSEFAN Report post Posted October 21, 2008 The first time I heard the "Mountain Range" song will stick in my mind for a long time! A buddy of mine (GTT) and I were sittin in our hotel in Anchorage, Alaska the night before a float plane was scheduled to drop us off in the middle of nowhere to hunt Moose and Caribou. That Brittingham show came on and then the campfire scene at the end with Sam Moore singing that song.......talk about chills, I got em' now just remembering back!!! firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Chris Ledoux here, sometimes a bit of Hank Jr. , or marty robbins. Marty Robbins is one of my all time favorites! On my Sirius satelite radio, if he comes up as an "artist alert" I switch to the channel he is on no matter what. Ac/Dc, Distubred, Garth, Brooks and Dunn, it doesnt matter. Marty gets the nod! I am going to make a cd with his best and that will be our camp music this fall.
