Drying up

Recommended Posts

Hiked around in the low country on Saturday to check things out.  Sure is getting dry. Some big tanks still have frozen water in them, but the smaller ones are dry. Saw a dozen deer and 2 elk. No coyotes were hurt in this hike.

Hope we get some weather in here for February/March.

One of my favorite fields to coyote hunt in 5bn. I shot one under the big lone juniper on the left last weekend

Yuck......    Definitely not just Arizona and the southwest.  The western slope of the Rockies has been in a long-term state of moderate drought, and it shows..... :(

Man that picture at lone rock is heart breaking. My family and I have spent many summer vacations there.

Blue Mesa currently 84' below full at 28% which ultimately feeds into the Colorado River on in to Powell!!!

Locals claim they have never seen it this low since the original filling of the lake!

Oh my that was a sad picture of Powell.

It’s almost over ….. the exodus will be coming soon.
