W.O.T Report post Posted October 6, 2008 I've hunted that area for several yrs... seems like it rained during the hunt a number of times, so we have opted out of the Nov hunts... good luck

Snapshot Report post Posted October 7, 2008 thanx for info , how about buying tag can i buy it from wal mart, chevron or online. also restriction on polaris ranger atv's utv's need to be liscensed etc. or even aloowed in unit will be using it to get to point a to point b instead of driving pickup no 4wheel drive. thanx Your best bet is to get your tag from the New Mexico G&F online right now, or you will have to get it in New mexico before your hunt starts. Do not forget to get your Forest service recreational use sticker, $10.00 bucks I think, and attach it to your license. Getting caught without one will cost you$$$$$$. Also do not use your atv/ohv without getting your Non-resident OHV permit, getting caught without it will cost you $$$$$. Nonresident OHV Permit and Use Fees Nonresident permits may be purchased during regular business hours, at Department of Game and Fish offices in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Raton, Roswell and Las Cruces or at the New Mexico Department of Tourism. Nonresident permits and fees (Must be renewed every 2 years from the date of initial registration): • Only available at Department of Game and Fish and Department of Tourism offices. • $17 Permit Fee (unless OHV is registered in another state) • $30 User Fee (unless an OHV user fee is currently paid in another state) • $1 New Mexico Clean and Beautiful Program Fee • $2 Administrative Fee • $50 total ($3 if registered and permitted in another state) Nonresident 90-day permits and fees: • Nonresidents have the option to purchase a 90-Day Permit for $23, which includes user, administrative and program fees. 4Falls Report post Posted October 12, 2008 The private land will be well posted and alot of 23 north of mule creek is public. Tags are available at the gas station in Glenwood, which is not far from Mule Creek, and on the way to Alma which is a good place to access alot of the unit. Weather will be hit or miss. Stay posted to the Weather channel. If it gets muddy make sure your two wheel drive truck is close to a decent road. Have a good hunt.
