I've said all along that I'm not a big John McCain fan, to moderate for my taste. I expressed that opinion in the primary election and did not vote for him. Now it's more a matter of making sure the worse of the two canidates doesn't get voted in.

A vote for anyone other than McCain is a vote for BO.

I did not vote John in the Primary, And still would not today If there was another choice on my side of the fence.right now he is what we have and the only other guy that stands a chance is way way left of the fence i am next to.John will not take our guns away from us. Besides he can not do that alone. Every time i come on the political part of this forum I am suprised to read that people are thinking the direction of a write in or the direction of BO. Except for one fellow member that has always seemed to be on the oposite side of the fence from most of us. This does catch me by suprise. :o

Write in Ron Paul if you want to . That is like buying a Loto ticket that is already scratched and proven not a winning ticket.Or better yet If you do not want to vote for John then vote for BO so you can say your vote was not a waste. Take one side or the other guys and then complain with the rest of us for the rest of time about the choice that was made. Gosh i have to stop reading this section it is like listening to am1480 (only when my heart rate needs a boost). No i do not listen to it all the time I am a huge fan of 960 and 550 am stations and now that laura Ingrahm has moved i have to add her new station to my #1 list.

John McCain - Gun grabber

DB to you honestly think that Osama wont be vastly worse when it comes to stomping on our second Amendment rights?

I wish the established system had served us up some more trustworthy and talented candidates - but alas, who in their right frickin mind would want the job anyway.

If by some squeaker miracle McLame wins, Palin will end up taking office cuz of his age and crummy health and she will be the man and might choose Ron Paul or Ted Nugent for her VP - then our gun collections will be safe!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Palin! ;)

keep voting for the same good ol' boys, but don't cry when our country continues to deteriorate at an alarming pace. Obama and McCain both suck.

I hate to be the dream crusher but the "WE DESERVE IT" suggestion really doesn't add up let me explain now I only gradumakated frum forth gruade butt 85 billun intwo 200 millun is 425. Yeah thats right 85,000,000,000 into 200,000,000 is only 425 dollars. not 425,000. Lets see what can i really do with that ..... um......fill up my gas tank, go to the movies, or maybe buy a gun to shoot the CEO of AIG. Even if you applied that logic to the 700billion bailout we would only be getting 3500dollars each. That sounds a little better but I guess who cares cause that didn't happen anyways. So although it would have been nice to have 425 dollars would have been nice it doesn't do a whole lot for anything. A real solution has got to be found so November lets instead of voting for McNothing or that Muslim guy write in someone who can solve all our problems Mitt Romney that guy has financial know how... plus he can raise his arms high enough to wave at you.

McCain says that they should change the name of the bill to "the Rescue Plan" and try again.

WTH? Does he really think we are THAT DUMB?

The rescue package was Topic A on the presidential campaign trail.

“The first thing I would do is say, ’Let’s not call it a bailout. Let’s call it a rescue,”’ McCain told CNN.

It's a sad gig for us all when it comes down to voting for who sucks the least! :(

Sad to say it but voting for the lesser of two evils happens regularly, usually on a more local level.

I'd suggest that those who aren't happy now, use that momentum and plan for 2012. That gives you 4, well 3 years to develope a better candidate and platform.

I was just listening on the radio. I get so sick of people saying they will not vote either way and they are going to write in a name, Because we need to vote for who we want to elect not the lesser of two evils. This guy on the radio said the problem with this country is that we should hold elections for all those that want to run for presedent then we do not have to vote for the less evil candidate. So i thought we did vote for that. I voted for Mitt Romney and many others voted for others than what we have to choose from now. Well the majority rules in that election. McCain is who the majority wanted so now he is the man for us on the republican ticket. So get out and vote for the man and do not waste your vote. I will not change thing for the better to write in a name not on the ticket. You will not be looked at as some hero for standing down.

Mc Cain waffles on some issues; He didn't vote on the One man, One woman marraige deal, he believes global warming is man caused, and tends to be a little too politically correct at times. BUT, he is a veteran and a war hero. He does have infinately more senate experience than his opposition. He does show backbone when he feels he needs to, i.e. the Iraq surge, and fighting intitlements in the senate. His foriegn policy experience, again, is way above and beyond that of his opponent. I believe the man has heart. He loves this country and cares about her people. His plans of limiting spending, keeping taxes down, drilling for oil, and exploiting other energy avenues, solar nuclear nat. gas and creating jobs by doing this, and the redistributing of the bad mortgages, sounds like a plan.

What the heck is Obama's plan? Programs to redistibute wealth? Sit down and have a chat with the Iranian president?

We know who McCain is, Who is Barak Obama? Best I can tell is he is a junior senator who has managed to achieve the # 1 liberal ranking in his short carreer because of his pro-abortion, anti-gun, and sociolistic voting record, who calls himself a Christian, yet attends a church who's pastor bad mouths the United States and proclaims a "liberation gospel", a black power sect that really fits better in a muslim setting. Can someone tell me if he ever had a real job before becoming a senator?

It is amazing to me that about half of this nation is seriously considering this man as our next president. I think he's the most dangerous man in the world right now.

Mike

But in the end, God is still in control. I have no fear of this man, in the long run. He cannot alter God's will.

I would never cast a vote for him though. Please hold the "a vote for X is a vote for Obama" comments, nothing could be further from the truth.
