Coon Canyon AZ Unit 1

Hey everyone, I was drawn for a late season leftover cow tag in coon canyon. I did some scouting last month up there but didn’t see much. Me and my friend are military stationed in Tucson and we’re trying to make the most out of this hunt. Does anyone have any advice about the area for early December?

Too lazy to look it up. What general area is the coon canyon. I’ve done the round valley and the antelope mtn (I think it was) with success. Not sure if anywhere near those. They tend to move thos boundaries around

Coon canyon sits south of 260, about 10 miles south west of round valley and eager. I have to stay north of Mexican Hay Lake.

Pray for snow to bring them down off the mountain. Was up there last weekend and there was little to nothing in the low country yet.

Ok thank you, I plan on putting in a lot of miles on foot and going up high

We are going into an El Nina so a very dry winter is predicted. We haven't had much preciption for months.

I have end of nov into the first week of dec

My boy is shooting out Magbolt 150 .50 cal smokepole. What are you using?

Ok great! I’ll keep an eye out, I’ll be in a grey dodge rebel. I’m using a CVA .50 cal, I’ll be sure to let him know what we find, just trying to put meat in the freezer.
