reece_mess16 Report post Posted November 17, 2021 I’m really excited to be heading back to 4B after a few years away. I had the late archery tag in 2018 and didn’t end up killing a bull. Had a bull at 75 yards coming into water but he was 25 yards passed my comfort zone for an archery shot. I have the 28 Nosler this year. Excited to give you all the story on this oddly controversial unit in a couple weeks. See y’all out there! 1

reece_mess16 Report post Posted November 29, 2021 Update: My wife and I spent the week prior to the hunt scouting and staring at elk pretty hard in the unit and were able to be successful opening morning! About 10 minutes after shooting light I hit my bull in the shoulder with the 28 Nosler at 385 yards. We saw quite a few elk in some really rough places. All in all it wasn’t a terrible pack out and I’m super proud of this bull out of a mid-tier unit. 18
