Jfos Report post Posted November 10, 2021 I have a whitetail tag for 36A that opens day after Thanksgiving. Never hunted the unit, and scouting has been rough because I live far and we just had our first child. Time is limited lol. I am going scouting this weekend though and have been e scouting as well. Anyways, I have two questions in regards to this unit. 1. Is there any area that I should steer clear from or just not waste my hunting time there? 2. I know there are a lot of tags for this unit, so where is the heaviest concentration of hunters generally at? b/c I’d like to stay away from that if possible. Kaffer62 Report post Posted November 11, 2021 Water is going to be key. plus getting away from the crowds. Lots of country you can walk to that is closed off to vehicle access. That will deter a lot of hunters.
Ghostbird Report post Posted November 11, 2021 Get into more rugged country where some jerk off cant drive his side-by-side thru the area you are hunting, happens all the time if you are in the "flats".and if you see trucks forming a roadblock on a public road go around it and hunt there anyway just to piss them off.(again, happens all the time.)
Will K Report post Posted November 11, 2021 Get high in rough country and glass. You will pick up bucks over time. Shoot straight. Good luck.
