I'm kinda partial to my 99 in 308 when I want a little more reach than my 30-30. Crazymonkey Report post Posted October 21, 2021 As mountain said I'd be looking for a 30-30 .I've got a Winchester and it's a little heavy on the trigger needs a upgrade kit and I've got a marlin in 45-70 and it's smooth as butter.it just depends on your application.
