New Mexico Unit 21 tag

Hey there folks,

 

I drew an any antlered tag in unit 21 NM this year.  Not looking for any honey holes, rather, what caliber bucks would be realistic seeing in this unit?  Both Coues or Mule.

I’ve hunted 21 during Jan archery. Never saw a coues in that area but I’d expect a monster !

Very nice.  I killed a nice one next door in 22 last year. Hoping for some luck this year.  How long ago did you hunt it?

Nice, so right after the fire.  What do you think a decent scoring buck would be in there for Mule or Coues?

Maybe it was 2012. It was before the fire. 
 

I don’t really pay much attention to score .

I had the January tag.  Supposed to be hunting right now.  Instead, I’m sitting nursing a herniated disk and Covid.  I’m so depressed.

Thanks, appreciate it.  I’m holding out hope I can squeeze the last weekend of javelina.  Wanted to try a couple of new areas.
