I did that for my boys and was ultimately able to put a full-sized Mossberg 500 stock to make it shootable now that they are over 6'. Could use a field barrel now though. Yes, they both have full size remington 1100s LT20ga's to grow into and I have a remington 870 compact 20ga they can use.
